The wife of a sub-inspector of police here was today relieved of her gold chain with mangalsutra in a pre-dawn strike by two chain-snatchers in front of her house, police said.
Kokila, wife of Suramangalam SI, was drawing 'kolam' in front of her house early this morning when the two youths snatched her chain weighing seven sovereigns.
She suffered minor injuries in the incident, they said, adding a search was on for the culprits.
