Copper, select brass and zinc prices declined in an otherwise mute non-ferrous metals market here today on selling by stockists amidst lower demand from industrial users.

On the global front, industrial metal copper was little changed in the early LME trade after falling for two sessions as a slowdown in economic growth in top user China flattened a seasonal pick-up in demand.

Copper armiture fell by Rs 6 per kg to Rs 390 from Monday's closing level of Rs 396 and brass utensils scrap dropped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 290 from Rs 295.

Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy and copper wire bar all moved down by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 405, Rs 399 and Rs 433 as compared to Rs 409, Rs 403 and Rs 437 previously.

Copper sheet cutting eased by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 388 as against Rs 391 and copper utensils scrap edged down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 372 from Rs 374 yesterday.

Zinc also softened by a Re per kg to Rs 154.
