Copra edible eases on reduced demand

Copra edible Mumbai eased in an otherwise mute spices market here today following reduced demand from stockists and retailers amid ample stock position.

Rest all other spices ruled stable in the absence of any major buying activity.

Copra edible Mumbai fell by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 11,700 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 11,800.

Following are today's closing rates (in Rs with previous rates in brackets):

Black pepper (per kg) 490/580 (490/580), ginger unbleached (per kg) 123 (123), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 10,500 (10,500), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 10,400 (10,400), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 11,700 (11,700), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 11,700 (10,800).
