Cops announce Rs lakhfor info on woman student's kidnapper

: Nearly a week after a 21-year-old woman pharmacy student was kidnapped, the police here on Monday announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for information on the abductor.

Police said they verified CCTV footage and during the course of investigation the kidnapper was identified as Ravi S of Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh.

"If anyone passes on information on this persons (abductor)whereabouts, a reward of Rs 1 lakh will be given, a press release from the police commissionerate said.

The woman was kidnapped on July 23 after she and her father boarded the car of the accused who posing as a doctor offered to get her a job.

 

The man drove away with the woman after asking her father to get down for taking photo copies of her educational certificates.

The abductor had affixed a fake number on his car, the police said.
