Press Trust of India New Delhi
Coriander and red chilli prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today, largely supported by fall in supplies from producing belts against rising demand from local parties and stockists.

Further, export enquiries supported the upside.

Coriander and red chilli prices edged higher by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 11,800-16,800 and Rs 7,900-15,600 per quintal, respectively.

Buying by stockists and exporters against fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly pushed up coriander and chilli prices at the wholesale kirana market here, traders said.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs):

Ajwain (per kg) 155-190, black pepper (per kg) 600-780, betel-nut (kg) 300-350, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,730-1,760 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,950-2,060.

Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 800-860, cardamom (colour robin) 800-820, cardamom bold 810-830, cardamom extra (bold) 940-990 and cloves 730-850.
