Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today called upon the Congress workers to counter the misinformation campaign launched by the opposition.

Addressing a meeting of Congress workers of six districts of NCR - Faridabad, Palwal, Gurgaon, Rewari, Mahendergarh and Mewat here today, Hooda asked them to show their strength at the November 10 Gohana Rally.

Calling upon the workers, Hooda said the rally should be of such a big scale that even the opposition parties are forced to take note and a number of announcements will be made in the rally for the benefit of people.

He said for making available water for the fields of South Haryana, Hansi-Butana Canal was constructed, but due to the obstruction by opposition parties, the matter is held up in court. "As soon as the matter is cleared, South Haryana will get 2000 cusecs of water from Bhakhra," he said.

Attacking Om Prakash Chautala's regime for not initiating any welfare scheme for farmers, traders and other sections of society, Hooda said he has been punished for his wrong decision of giving jobs to persons not selected. He also criticised the HJC-BJP leaders in the state.

Addressing workers, Haryana Congress President Phool Chand Mulana said the state has become a progressive one under the president regime led by Hooda.

The meeting was also addressed by Rohtak MP Deepender Singh Hooda, Haryana Minister Kiran Chaudhry, CPS Rao Dan Singh and Anita Yadav, among others.
