Police today recovered a country made gun, left behind by a four-member gang, who were roaming in Chinnathadagam forest area on the outskirtts of the city.
Based on information that an armed gang was moving in a suspicious manner in Varapalayam area, an operation to nab them was carried out, police said.
On seeing the police, the gang managed to flee from there even as the police chased them and in the melee, the gun was dropped while fleeing, they said.
