Couple commits suicide over family's disapproval of affair

An 18-year-old girl and a 25-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide after the girl's family disapproved of their relationship, police said today.

Kunti and Bipin were in a relationship for quite some time however, Kunti's family was against it, they said.

Yesterday, Kunti, resident of Katra area here, had a fight with her father over her affair with Bipin following which she hanged herself from the ceiling of her house, police said.

Within half-an-hour of Kunti's suicide, Bipin too committed suicide by jumping in front of a goods train, they said adding both the bodies have been sent for post-mortem and a further probe into the matter is on.
