Couple found hanging from tree in UP

A young couple was found dead with their bodies hanging from a tree in Sirsia area of Shravasti district, police said today.

Bodies of Bhanu Pratap (21) and a 19-year-old girl were found hanging from a tree near Santria village in Sirsia area yesterday, they said.

There were no injury marks on the bodies, police said, adding that the bodies have been sent for postmortem.

The couple has been identified as labourers who were working on Hathikunda bridge, they said.

Investigation is on in the incident, police added.
