The next central committee meeting of CPI(M) will be held in Tripura, the only Left ruled state in the country, party sources said today.
CPI(M) will hold its next central committee meeting here in December next and this decision was taken at the last meeting of the central committee at New Delhi on August 18 last, the sources said.
Senior state party leaders stated that a meeting of the central committee of the party would be held in the state for the first time.

The CPI(M) is in power in Tripura since 1978, except five years break from 1988 to 1993 and it got thumping majority in the assembly elections held in February 14 last.
There are six members in the central committee from Tripura.
They include state party secretary Bijan Dhar, Tribal Welfare minister Aghore Debbarma, PWD minister Badal Choudhury, two MPs - Bajuban Reang and Khagen Das and woman leader Rama Das.
