The 20th party Congress of CPI would be held in Kollam in the state in April next year.
The decision to hold the party congress in Kollam was taken at the CPI state council held here today.
It was also decided to hold the party state conference at Mallapuram in February next year, a party release said.

Branch conventions of the party as a prelude to the party congress would begin in September.
CPI State Secretary Kannam Rajendran and party national executive member K E Ismail were among those who attended the meeting.
