CRPF jawan booked for raping 20-yr-old girl

A CRPF jawan has been booked here on the charges of raping a 20-year-old girl for over a year on the pretext of marrying her, police said today.

According to the victim's complaint at Sukhpura police station, CRPF jawan Mulayam Yadav, a neighbour of her sister's in-laws, raped her on the false promise of marriage, Additional Superintendent of Police K C Goswami said.

When she recently pressurised him for marriage, he went back on his promise, the ASP said, adding a case has been lodged and investigation is underway.
