Supported by rising domestic demand and restricted supplies from producing regions, crude palm oil prices rose further by 0.46 per cent to Rs 396.90 per 10 kg in futures trade today.
At Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in far month October moved up Rs 1.80, or 0.46 per cent to Rs 396.90 per 10 kg in business turnover of 345 lots.
In a similar fashion, the oil for delivery in September contracts edged up 80 paise, or 0.20 per cent, to Rs 400 per 10 kg in 390 lots.
Market analysts said apart from a firm trend at the spot market on rising demand, restricted supplies from producing belts mainly kept crude palm oil prices higher in futures trade.
