Death sentence for man who raped, murdered 9-yr-old girl

A local court today awarded death sentence to a man for raping and murdering a minor girl in Bihar's Jamui district two months ago.

District and Sessions Judge Jyoti Kumar Srivastava found Hemlal Sah guilty of raping and strangulating to death a nine-year-old girl and ordered that he be hanged till death.

According to the prosecution, Sah committed the heinous crime on finding the girl alone in a field at Shunba Roydih village.

The father of the girl had lodged an FIR on August 24, 2013 with the Chanderavanshi police station.
