Death toll in Manipur liquor tragedy rises to five

With the death of one more person, the death toll in the spurious liquor tragedy in Manipur rose to five, police said today.

Oinam Brojen(42) of Oinam Sawombung village in Thoubal district who was undergoing treatment at Shija Hospital here succumbed to the liquor poisoning last night at about 11:30 pm, the police said.

Four persons had earlier died in the spurious liquor tragedy in Thoubal district, the police added.
