Cricketer-turned-golfers Kapil Dev and Murali Karthik will be among the 200 amateur golfers, who will showcase their prowess when the Delhi-NCR leg of the 17th edition of BMR World Corporate Golf Challenge tees off at the ITC Classic Golf & Country Club here tomorrow.
The two-day qualifying leg will see golfers vying for the top spot to compete at the National finals to be played in Bangalore on May 15th at Prestige Golfshire in Bengaluru.
The India leg will witness the participation of around 600 corporate executives paired as teams of two, at Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru legs of the tournament. A total of four teams will progress to the National finals from India leg.

Some prominent corporates who would be playing the Delhi-NCR leg include Harshpati Singhania, MD, JK Paper; Raj Jain, CEO, Times of India; D. Shiva Kumar, Chairman & CEO, Pepsico India; Varun Khanna, CFO, Micromax; Sunam Sarkar, President, Apollo Tyres Ltd.
India made its competitive debut in WCGC in 1999 and 2016 marks the 17th year of its contention at the world stage.
Corporate India has won the prestigious World Finals in 2008 and 2015 and was runner-up in 2014, 2011 and 2010.
Indian winning team will compete against 40 nations at the 22nd annual World Corporate Golf Challenge in Cascais, Portugal.
