There were no Dengue death reports from any districts in West Bengal in the last 24 hours and the toll remained at 23.

According to state Director of Health Services Biswaranjan Satpathy, the department was "validating" reports of new Dengue cases reported in the last 24 hours.

"There are no reports of any Dengue-deaths in the last 24 hours. We are validating the new reports on Dengue infection so we are not issuing any number in this connection," Satpathy told PTI.

Incidentally, yesterday 510 patients tested positive of the vector-borne disease taking the total number of persons affected by Dengue in West Bengal since January to 5,639.

Most of the Dengue cases have been reported from districts like Howrah, Hooghly's Sreerampore municipal area, North 24 Parganas' South Dum Dum and South 24 Parganas.
