After reviewing the poll preparedness in all the districts of West Bengal, Deputy Election Commissioner Sandeep Saxena today said the commission will take all measures to make the elections free, fair and peaceful.
He conducted a video conference meeting with the DMs and SPs where poll preparedness, law and order situation, security arrangements etc were reviewed.
"Wherever there is any need for intervention, we will do it. We are ensuring that nothing is left to make elections free, fair and peaceful in the state," Saxena said.

Saxena, who arrived in the city last night, said sufficient forces will be made available during the polls.
A full bench of the Election Commission will come to the city on a two-day visit, beginning tomorrow.
Polls in West Bengal will be held in six phases. In the first phase, voting will take place on April 4 and April 11 as the seats fall under the Naxal affected areas. Voting in third phase will take place on April 17, fourth phase on April 21, fifth phase on April 25 and sixth phase on April 30, May 5.
