The deputy jailer of the district jail here has been transferred to Banda jail, officials said today.
Jail Superintendent Sevaram said that Deputy Jailer Amarjit Singh was transferred to Banda jail yesterday by the state government with immediate effect and added it was a routine transfer.
A K Singh who was earlier posted at Deoband Jail has been transferred as jailer in the district jail here, he said.
