DERC seeks suggestions of stakeholders on tariff petitions

The Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) has invited comments from stakeholders on petitions of power generation and distribution companies, in the process to fix tariff for the new financial year.

The power regulator has sought comments and suggestions on the tariff petitions filed by IPGCL, PPCL, both power generation companies, and distribution entity NDMC, a notice of the DERC said.

The Commission has uploaded the tariff petitions on its website and the last date for receipt of comments and suggestions on it is March 9, a DERC official said.

Based on the comments and suggestions of the stakeholders on tariff petitions, the commission will hold a public hearing in the third week of March and take forward the tariff determination process.

The entire process of tariff determination for the new financial year, 2018-19, is likely to be completed by March. The new power tariff are applicable from April.
