Discount on elect, water bills paid through BHIM app: Har govt

In a bid to promote cashless transactions in the state, the Haryana Government has decided to give discount on electricity and water bills paid through the Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM) App.

The state government will a give a discount of five per cent and a maximum of up to Rs 50.

A decision to this effect has been taken in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar here, Haryana Finance Minister Abhimanyu said.

This incentive would be applicable with effect from April 1, he said in an official release.
