District Medical Officer found hanging in his clinic

: A district medical officer who was reported missing since yesterday, allegedly committed suicide by hanging at his private clinic near his house at Panthalur this morning, police said.

The body of V Sasidharan (51), the Wayanad District Medical Officer, was found hanging from the ceiling by neighbours, who informed police.

Police rushed to the spot, broke open the door and recovered the body.

Dr Sasidharan had reportedly been in a mentally disturbed state for the last few days, they said, adding, a suicide note has been recovered from the body.
