An alleged drug peddler was arrested and over 100 bottles of cough syrup, used as narcotic substances, was recovered from his possession in Baramulla district of north Kashmir today, police said.
Barkat Ali Miya was nabbed by a police party during patrolling at the main market in Pattan, 27 kms from here on Srinagar-Baramulla national highway, they said.
As many as 129 bottles of cough syrup of a particular brand was seized from him, the police said.
Further probes are on into the case, they added.
