A drug peddler was arrested and more than 100 grams of heroin worth Rs 50 lakh in the international market was seized from his possession here, police said today.
The peddler, identified as Manoj Kumar of Khangura village, was arrested last night by a patrolling police party during checking at Ranipur village, Phagwara DSP Kanwalpreet Singh said.
Heroin worth Rs 50 lakh in the international market was seized from Kumar and he was arrested under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, Singh said.
