A local court has awarded three years rigorous imprisonment to two persons for trying to rape a minor girl when she was alone at home.
The sentence was recently awarded by Session Judge, R K Dube to the victim's cousin Gabba and her brother-in-law Ramesh Chandra for trying to rape her when she was alone at home in January this year at Leemachouhan village in the district,Public Prosecutor, Girish Sharma said.
During the assault, her brother arrived home following which the duo fled from the spot, he said adding that a complaint was later lodged against them and they were arrested.
