Groundnut oil prices dropped at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today due to reduced demand from stockist and retailers amidst ample supplies from producing regions.
Refined palmolein prices also edged down on poor offtake from retailers.
In the non-edible, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial declined further on lack of demand from shippers and soap manufacturers.
Linseed oil maintained its downtrend following weak demand from paint and allied industries.
The castorseeds futures rates are unavailable.
In the edible section, Groundnut oil fell by Rs 20 per 10kg to Rs 730 from Wednesday's close of Rs 750 and Refined palmolein also eased by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 602 as against Rs 604 yesterday.
Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold moved down by Rs 15 per 100kg to Rs 3,910 from Rs 3,925, castoroil commercial edged down by Rs 3 per 10kg to Rs 812 as compared to Rs 815 and linseedoil also declined by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 785 as against Rs 790 previously.
