Edible, non-edible oil prices rebound on fresh demand

Refined palmolein rebounded modestly at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale here today following fresh demand from buyers.

Elsewhere, castor seeds bold and commercial also recovered smartly due to renewed demand from soaps and shipper industries.

While, groundnut and linseed ruled steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

In the edible segment, refined palmolein gained by Rs 5 to Rs 714 per 10 kg from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 709 and ended unaltered at Rs 825 per 10 kg.

Moving to non-edible section, castor seeds bold climbed by Rs 65 to Rs 4,035 per 100 kg as against Rs 3,970 and rose by Rs 13 to Rs 837 per 10kg from Rs 824 yesterday.

closed unchanged at Rs 800 per 10 kg.
