In the edible segment, Groundnutoil slipped by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 1,250 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,260. Refined palmolein went down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 620 as compared to Rs 625 previously.
Moving to non-edible segment, Castorseeds bold slumped by Rs 125 per 100 kg to Rs 3,875 from Rs 4,000 and castoroil commercial slid by Rs 25 per 10 kg to Rs 805 as against Rs 830 yesterday. Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 835 per 10 kg.
Turning to futures, castor seed September contract resumed weak at Rs 4,250 and drifted further to close at Rs 4,185 against overnight close of Rs 4,300, showing a loss of Rs 115 per tonne.
