Eid celebrated with traditional fervour in Rajasthan

The festival of Eid was today celebrated with traditional fervour across Rajasthan as Muslims in the state offered prayers at mosques and exchanged greetings and sweets.

Governor Margaret Alva, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, former chief minister Ashok Gehlot, Assembly Speaker Kailash Meghwal and others greeted people on the occasion

'Namaz' was offered at Jama masjid and other mosques after which the religious exchanged 'Eid Mubarak' greetings.

Muslim dominated areas in Jaipur, including Ramganj, were marked with festivity as people came out to indulge in shopping and meet relatives.

In Bikaner, thousands of community members thronged to Badi Eidgah to offer namaz.
 

Religious leaders Mushtaq Ahemad and Hafiz Farman Ali prayed for the peace and harmony and wished the community members.

Eid celebrations were joyous and peaceful in other cities in Rajasthan.
