Eight martial artists of Sikkim Amateur Taekwondo Association (SATA) have been selected to represent India in the 8th Classic Malaysia International Taekwondo Championship which is going to be held at Malaysia from August 8.
Nugnandini Chhetri [national silver medallist], Divyadrishti Chhetri [national bronze medallist], Priyadarshini Jyoti Bania [national bronze medallist] and Thupden Nima Bhutia will participate in the Sub-Junior Individual, Pairs and Team Poomsae events, a press release issued by SATA said today.
Sneeha Pradhan [national gold medallist], Pema Gyacho Sherpa [national gold medallist] and Pema Gyalchen Sherpa [national gold medallist] of Namchi will take part in the Individual and Pairs Poomsae event and Kheorugi event, the release said.

Eleven-year-old Adwayti Subba [national silver medallist] will take part in the Individual, Pairs and Team Poomsae events.
Pappu Rai of Namchi and Geeta Chhetri of Gangtok will accompany the team which will be leaving for Malaysia on 04 August. President and members of SATA have wished them good luck for the championship, the release added.
