Elderly woman, girl killed in road mishap

An elderly woman and her grand daughter were killed and three other family members injured when a car ran over them, police said today.

Swati Singh Sardar and her grand-daughter Neha Singh Sardar along with three family members were out on the street when a car ran over them late last night.

Swati and Neha died on the spot, while three others, including a girl, were seriously injured. The injured were admitted to the hospital, police officials said.

The locals caught hold of the car driver and handed him over to police.
