Former Chief Medical Superintendent and three members of her family were killed today in an alleged loot attempt, police said.
Former Chief Medical Superintendent Dr Shally Mehrotra (60), her husband Dr Om Mehrotra, his sister Dr Rashmi (60) and her 4-year-old grand daughter were found murdered at their residence while the valuables were found missing, SSP Ashutosh Kumar said.
On prima facie this is a case of loot. The deceased would have been killed when they opposed the loot attempt, he added.
The bodies have been sent for post mortem, he said adding, the loot value is not known yet.
