An exhibition on the 'Life and Works of Hungarian Orientalist Sir Marc Aurel Stein (1862-1943)' was inaugurated today at the Assam State Museum here by Cultural Affairs Department Commissioner and Secretary Preetom Saikia.
The Directorate of Museums, Assam in collaboration with the EAP-Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts, New Delhi have jointly organised the exhibition.
Inaugurating the exhibition Saikia spoke about the life of Sir Marc Aurel Stein and hoped through the exhibition, budding and upcoming artists would be inspired.
The exhibition on the Hungarian-British archaeologist's explorations and archaeological discoveries in Central Asia would be open for public view till June 22.
