Farmer burnt alive as fire engulfs hut in Raj

A 55-year-old farmer was burnt alive allegedly in an accidental fire that engulfed his hut at Phalsoond area of the district, police said today.

The deceased, identified as Magnaram, was alone in his hutment, when the fire broke out on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, they said.

The exact reason for the cause of the blaze was yet to be ascertained, police said.

Police said that the body was sent for post-mortem yesterday.
