A 27-year-old farmer was today killed by a tiger in the Bilary range of Moradabad division.
According to Moradabad district magistrate Sanjay Kumar, the tiger which lost its way killed the farmer this morning when he was working in his field adjacent to the forest.
This is the second incident of killing by the same tiger in the past two weeks, the district magistrate said.
Forest Conservator Kamlesh Kumar said the tiger lost its way a few weeks ago and had been straying into localities in search of food. Forest officials are trying to spot the tiger and drive it away towards the adjacent Corbett National Park, he added.
