A father-son duo from the city have made it to the Limca Book of Records for successfully finishing the longest trek in the Great Indian Desert.
"Madhav Bhardwaj and his father Mohan Bhardwaj completed the 305.17 km foot journey in the Thar Desert in nine days.... making it the longest such trek by a father-son duo. They traversed the sand-duned areas of the Great Indian Desert from Bikaner to Jaisalmer district in Rajasthan," a certification from the Limca Book of Records said.
The trek was undertaken by the duo from March 26 to April 3 this year, the certification signed by editor of Limca Book of Records, Vijaya Ghose said.
Madhav is a class 12th student at the prestigious Doon School, while his father, a former BSF officer had also studied at the same school.
