Self-service options, including check-in, baggage drop and document check, are some of the steps launched by Finnish carrier Finnair to speed up airport formalities and reduce passengers queues at Helsinki airport.
"The measures would benefit travellers, including Indians, as it would reduce the turnaround and transit time to less than 30 minutes," an airline spokesperson said.
Finnair, which has received 'Fast Travel Gold Award' for implementing IATA's fast travel programme, operates direct six days a week flight between New Delhi and Helsinki.
The self-service options include check-in, baggage drop, document check, boarding, flight rebooking and bag recovery.
