FIR against 100 persons for firing, stone pelting in UP

Police have filed FIR against around 100 persons for allegedly brick batting, firing and damaging police vehicles while protesting death of a person in a road accident, police said today.

Victim of the road mishap, Ikram, died after being run over a by tractor trolley yesterday at Mohanpur village of this district following which angry locals blocked the road and started firing and pelting stones at police which had reached the spot to pacify the irate locals, they said.

Investigation is underway in this incident, police said.
