Fire breaks out in plywood factory in Sitapur

A fire broke out in a plywood manufacturing unit this morning due to short circuit in Sitapur district, police said.

The fire erupted in Maruti ply factory in Biswan locality this morning but the flames were doused before it could spread, they said.

No injuries were reported in the incident but the blaze gutted factory products and other items. The loss is estimated at over Rs 50 lakhs, police added.
