A fire in a house at Narayangarh in West Midnapore district today triggered commotion in the neighbourhood with some people alleging crude bombs were stocked within the four walls.
However, when contacted SP Bharati Ghosh told PTI a force led by the Additional SP found the fire was not caused by any explosives and probably due to other reasons.
Villagers said over 50 people assembled before the house after flames leapt out in the morning and some of them claimed the fire was due to crude bombs, stocked in the premises, having gone off.
