Five Bangladeshi nationals were arrested Wednesday from nearby Tirupur for staying without any valid documents, police said.
Two days ago, three Bangladeshi nationals, working in knitwear units at Tirupur, were arrested as they did not not possess any immigration documents.
When they were questioned, they said more people from were staying in Tirupur illegally, following which police conducted searches, police said.
Police arrested five Bangladeshis, who were working in garment factories.
The eight were produced before a court in Tirupur and after being remanded, they were taken on transit warrant to Chennai to be lodged in Puzhal jail, police added.
