Under the initiative launched by Bengali entertainment channel Star Jalsha to protect environment, the recycled products will be distributed free of cost to raise awareness on the utility of recycling.
Channel officials said these exclusive items would also be gifted to celebrities, top corporate executives and other renowned personalities from different sections of the society.
Eventually the channel intends to host a fashion show cum exhibition which will feature and highlight these inimitable creations.
In Kolkata alone, it is estimated that around 70,000 kg of flex from old billboards are burnt every day resulting in environmental pollution.
