Former village head shot dead in Mau

A former village head was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Sekvaliya village here on Sunday morning, police said.

Bijli Yadav, a local SP leader, had gone out for a morning walk when he was shot dead, Superintendent of Police Anurag Arya said.

Family members told police that Yadav had no enmity with anyone.
