Fortescue Metals Group and Walk Free Foundation will partner Pakistan to work in diverse areas including initiatives in the energy sector.
Andrew Forrest, Chairman and Founder of Fortescue Metals Group and Chairman of Walk Free Foundation and Minderoo, will announce a Memorandum of Understanding with the Chief Minister of Punjab Province, Pakistan here tomorrow.
"The MoU is a significant Public Private Partnership (PPP) with Punjab Province to secure Pakistan's energy future and slave-proof Pakistan," according to a statement.
The Walk Free Foundation is a global organisation with a mission to end modern slavery. It is an initiative of Minderoo Foundation.
Minderoo encompasses the Minderoo Foundation and the private business holdings of the Minderoo Group. Minderoo Foundation was founded in 2001 by Andrew and Nicola Forrest.
Moreover, Minderoo Group is the majority shareholder of Fortesuce Metals Group.
