With the arrest of four persons from Jharkhand, Thane district police today claimed to have solved the murder of a fruit seller in Kashimira area on April 6.
Shamu Goud (40), a fruit seller hailing from Uttar Pradesh, was shot dead by unidentified persons at around 2 am on April 6 in Kashimira area of the district.
Additional Superintendent of Police Prashant Kadam said that investigation revealed that it was a 'contract killing', and the shooters had come from Jharkhand.

Sunilkumar Bijuli Razak alias Raju (35), the main accused, had had a dispute with Goud over some money matter, and paid Rs five lakh to the co-accused Sudipkumar Ravidas (23), Asishkumar Tilak Bhuiya (19) Bablu Ravidas (19) (all arrested) and others to kill Goud, he said.
Razak and three others were arrested from Jharkhand two days ago. Police were looking five more accused, the ASP said.
