Four convicted under Gangster Act

Four persons have been sentenced to seven years imprisonment by a local court which found them guilty under the Gangster Act.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Mayank Chouhan also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 each on the convicts yesterday.

The court awarded the jail term to Jagdish, Rishipal, Prakash and Ramesh after holding them guilty under section 2/3 of the Gangster Act here, according to prosecution.

The four convicts were booked under the Gangster Act at Jasala village in Shamli district in 2002.
