Four persons were crushed to death and two others seriously injured by a truck in West Bengal's North Dinajpur district today.
Police said the incident took place when the victims were having tea at a roadside stall near NH34 at Itahar at around 5.30 AM.
The maize loaded truck mowed them down and hit the tea stall after its brake failed, police said.
Four persons died on the spot, the police said, adding the injured were rushed Raiganj district hospital where their condition was stated to be critical.
