Four held for firing at police inspector

Four persons wanted in connection with the attack on a police inspector over two months back, were arrested here today, police said.

The four accused-- Satish Singh (35), Bunty (30), Jagdish Singh (48) and Rinku (24)-- carried a reward of Rs 10,000 each on their head, Gwalior Crime Branch Inspector B S Kaurav said.

Earlier, police had arrested two others accused in this case.

"On the day of the crime, police had arrested one Rumvir Singh (37), followed by the arrest of another accused Gopal Singh (45) a few days later," he added.

According to police, the accused had fired at and injured inspector Ramesh Shakya (38) when he had gone to nab their murder-accused friend, Satish Singh (35), at Paragaon village near here on June 30, 2016.
 

The bullet had hit Shakya in the thigh, following which he had been admitted to a hospital.
