Four injured in road accident in Kalimpong

Four persons were injured in an accident involving a water tanker in Kalimpong today, a police official said.

The water tanker crashed into a garment shop injuring four persons at C K Chowk in Kalimpong, the official said.

One of the injured sustained fractures while the rest escaped with minor injuries, the officer said.

Residents of the area said on previous occasions too they had brought to the notice of the authorities the perils of overloaded water tankers plying through the narrow streets of Kalimpong town.
