Four killed as van collides with car

Four persons, including a woman, were killed and another woman was injured when a van collided with their car, near here, tonight, police said.

The car was proceeding from Tiruchendur to Tirunelveli when the mishap occurred at Palayamkottai, about 15 km from here.

The injured has been admitted to hospital, police said.

The driver of the van abandoned the vehicle and is absconding, police said, adding, a search is on for him.
